Flourish Homes was formed in 2001 when it purchased the housing stock previously owned and managed by Mendip District Council.
This large scale voluntary transfer of housing stock followed a ballot of all tenants which favoured transferring to a new landlord.
Flourish Homes was set up as a company limited by guarantee and all surpluses are reinvested in our properties and services. In 2003, it became a registered charity.
It changed its name to Flourish Homes, from Mendip Housing, in December 2009.
In September 2005, the Board agreed to join the Aster Group.
Flourish Homes Limited is a non-profit making housing association registered with the Housing Corporation (registration number LH4304) and with Companies House (registration number 3969491). Registered charity number 1096689
