CARE FOR A CAREER

That's the question being asked by Flourish Homes as it hosts a special event in Wells Town Hall to tell local people about the career opportunities it has in its care and support department.

Local people interested to find out more about a career in caring can drop in to Wells Town Hall on Wednesday 30 th January from 10am until 4pm where they will find a cup of tea and Flourish Homes staff waiting to tell them more about the positions available at the local housing association, which also provides accommodation and care to people with support needs.

Flourish Homes, which is a member of the Aster Group, has a variety of care staff positions available at its four Extra Care schemes: Sheldon Drive in Wells, Pullen Court in Shepton Mallet, Bovemoor in Street and Bennett Gardens in Frome, as well as a new facility in Nunney, near Frome, which is offering housing and support to people with learning difficulties.

"We offer flexible working hours, paid annual leave and sick pay as well as excellent training opportunities," said Flourish Homes's Domiciliary Care Manager Pippa Greed.

"A career in care can be very rewarding. Many of the people who live on our Extra Care schemes need help with the everyday activities that we may take for granted. Sometimes the smallest things can make a big difference to the people they care for."

Anyone interested in finding out more about a career in caring with Flourish Homes can drop into the Town Hall on Wednesday or ring the human resources department at Flourish Homes on 01749 334455.
