Tenant groups

What tenant groups do we have?

There are:

  • Four Area Forums: Frome Area Forum, Wells and Surrounding Area Forum, Glastonbury & Street Area Forum, Shepton Mallet and Surrounding Hamlets Area Forum.
  • Sheltered Housing Tenants’ Forum
  • Mendip Tenants’ Federation (consists of five representatives from each Area Forum and the Sheltered Housing Tenants' Forum)
  • Lots of groups that focus on particular areas of work

The Tenants' Federation

The Tenants' Federation is the strategic body representing tenants. It is supported by Flourish Homes.

The Federation can have up to 25 members, comprising five representatives elected from each of the four area forums plus five representatives elected from the Sheltered Housing Tenants' Forum. The Federation meets on a monthly basis.

A major part of the role of the Federation is working with us on policies and strategies, on the Tenants' Compact, and consulting on major documents and proposals.

Tenants’ Forums

Tenant Forums cover four geographical areas and one service area:

Membership of an Area Forum is open to all residents living in that area. They provide an opportunity to meet and discuss issues of common concern.

They also monitor the working practices and performance of Flourish Homes and provide an opportunity for residents to express their views to Flourish Homes via the forum.

Area Forums also provide an opportunity for residents to meet socially and to organise events.
