Kitchen, bathroom and heating replacement

We have a programme of work that we called planned maintenance, which is any work that needs doing that improves your home over the longer term. This work is mainly:

• Replacing kitchens
• Replacing bathrooms
• Replacing heating systems
• Maintaining the outside of your home

Tenants have worked hard with us to improve the way we carry out this work. They have been involved in:

• choosing the contractors we work with
• choosing the range of products you can pick
• making sure things like the heating controls are easy to use

Aster Property Management (APM) now fit new kitchens and bathrooms.

ALCHO and Aster Property Management (APM) now install replacement heating systems.

Outside work

Mi-Space carries out any external work that needs to be done. We will look at homes every six years and carry out a survey to see what work needs to be done – a bit like a MOT for your property to make sure it stays in good condition. We will also concentrate on one area at a time before moving onto the next place. About 700 homes each year will be surveyed and we will look at things like:

• Decoration/paintwork/render
• Roof
• Chimneys
• Brickwork
• Footpaths

We will also check to make sure your home has adequate insulation, which could help lower your heating bills. We will then arrange for any work to be done with our contractors – and give your home a clean bill of health until it’s time for the next check up.
