Mendip Helpline is our community alarm system (which some people can also know as piper lifeline alarms) which offers peace of mind for you and your family. At the touch of a button you are in contact with someone 24 hours a day if there is an emergency.
This service is available across Mendip and you don't have to be one of our tenants to enjoy this service.
Lots of people enjoy the peace of mind that Mendip Helpline gives them:
- people who live alone and want the reassurance of help if something happens to them
- someone who has been a victim of crime
- if you feel isolated or vunerable
- if you are anxious about bogus callers
- if you have poor health or are not very mobile
- if you want to reassure relatives
A Helpline unit is attached to your own phone and you can also wear a small button so that you can call for help from anywhere in your house and garden.

Mendip Telecare
We also offer Mendip Telecare as an extra service to help people who are struggling to live independently and safely. It offers helpful technology that can support people in their home but without being intrusive. You can find out more about this service in our Mendip Telecare leaflet.
