Our Safe at Home Service is a short term service which offers support to people. It can be used to help them return home after a hospital stay or may help someone regain their independence after a significant or perhaps serious incident, like an illness or perhaps a bereavement.
The service is usually offered for six weeks and includes the installation of a Mendip Helpline which offers the security of a community alarm. Also included is a daily well being call and a weekly visit by trained staff who can offer short term practical and emotional support. During the visit they might offer guidance about daily living tasks, healthy lifestyles, promoting exercise or personal support to develop new coping strategies.
If you or a loved one think that you would benefit from this service then contact us for more information about how to arrange an assessment.
The service is offered at a very competitive rate of £5 a week (£2 a week of you get a means tested benefit).
